LAS VEGAS, 10 January 2014 – DMS, specialized in electronics for Cinema, Studio and Residential applications and designer and manufacturer of the StormAudio brand, has today announced a partnership agreement with Auro Technologies. The agreement appoints DMS as a distributor for the Auro-3D® ISSP 12.200D AV Receiver products to its worldwide (excluding Greater China) distributor network covering amongst others, Canada, USA, France, Sweden, Italy, Indonesia, Russia, and Australia. The Auro-3D® ISSP 12.200 AV Receiver will be available as of mid-February 2014.
“We are excited to work together with Auro Technologies to make Auro-3D® sound systems available to consumers across our distributor network, so the audience can feel immersed in the movie or music,” said Hervé Roux, CEO at DMS. “This partnership agreement builds on the license agreement for the integration of the Auro-3D® technology suite in our StormAudio Home Cinema product line. The agreement for DMS to design and manufacture the Auro-3D® ISSP 12.200D AV Receiver will enhance the experience at home in Surround and immersive sound.”
Auro Technologies’ ground breaking Auro-3D® technology provides the most immersive 3D sound experience by adding the third and final dimension: “Height,” in Front and Around the listener, based on the existing 5.1 or 7.1 Surround sound configurations.
With over 50 international movies, 100 music albums recorded in the Auro-3D® format, and 2 blockbuster games to be released in the course of 2014, for the first time, consumers will be able to enjoy a compelling true 3D sound experience in their living room, during a favourite video game, or via headphones.
“Working of the professional and digital cinema experience of DMS enables us to provide consumers with the exact Auro-3D® experience you’d get in a movie theatre. We’re looking forward to this partnership delivering great new products and enabling consumers to enjoy a compelling true 3D sound experience in their living room, exactly as it was meant to be heard,” said Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO of Auro Technologies.
