This page provides step guides on how to install the Open Source GPAC Application in oder to unlock the ABR Export Options in the AURO-3D® Encoder Application
macOS
- Go to the GPAC download page:
https://gpac.io/downloads/gpac-nightly-builds/
- Download the latest “Mac OS X 64 bits” version.
- Open the downloaded installer and follow instructions:
⚠️ How to open a Mac app from an unknown developer:
a. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.
b. Go to Security, then click Open.
c. Click Open Anyway.
d. This button is available for about an hour after you try to open the app.e. Enter your login password, then click OK. - Once the installation is completed, stop and re-open the Auro-3D Encoder Service Application:
Windows
- Go to the GPAC download page:

- Download the latest “Windows 64 bits” version.
- Open the downloaded installer and follow instructions:
⚠️ How to open a .exe file from an unknown developer::
a. Double-click the .exe file.
b. When the “Windows protected your PC” (SmartScreen) message appears, click More info.
c. Click Run anyway.
d. If prompted, confirm with Yes in the User Account Control (UAC) dialog. - Once the installation is completed, stop and re-open the Auro-3D Encoder Service Application:
