NewAuro B.V and KORG Inc. announce their collaboration in supporting AURO-3D® Technology for “Live Extreme” — a video live streaming system with the highest audio quality ever in the industry — promising a more natural and emotionally captivating experience.
Gooik, (BE) (October 26th, 2023) AURO-3D®, the world leading immersive audio format, announced today the official launch of their collaboration with KORG Inc. to enable streaming of high-resolution immersive audio content using the acclaimed Auro-Codec® via the “Live Extreme” streaming technology.
Live Extreme was launched in September 2020 by KORG Inc. With world-first innovations in high-resolution audio and video streaming, Live Extreme allows your audience to hear every nuance of a performance. With AURO-3D, Live Extreme enters a new era of audio streaming by using the Auro-Codec real-time encoder for selected performances, allowing for unprecedented audio quality and live like experiences for end consumers.
With the support of AURO-3D encoded content, Live Extreme streams in immersive audio for the very first time, choosing AURO-3D as its main format for their immersive audio launch. With over 100 concerts streamed since 2020, new on-demand shows will become available for end-consumers regularly in Japan, with North America and Europe already in motion.
The new built-in real-time Auro-Codec support allows for high-resolution immersive sound (up to 96 kHz/24 bit) in the AURO-3D formats (e.g., Auro 9.1 or Auro 11.1 (7.1+4H)). The result is a compelling, natural immersive sound experience providing the sensation of being in-person at the live event, that can be experienced using all existing AURO-3D compatible devices from over 20 brands.
“Tokyo University of the Arts” has adopted the Live Extreme system for their “Geidai Music Archive”, and selected performances are already made available in the AURO-3D format today. These archives, created from April 2023 onwards and performed by the university, allow their university students an artistic showcase in 4K video including immersive audio in AURO-3D 24 bit/96 kHz, using the “Tokyo Geidai Digital Twin” website https://dt.geidai.ac.jp/?p=1897
